Nashra is 19 and lives with her three sisters in Trilokpuri. She first heard about JOSH at a local event and showed up at the center, curious and eager to learn. Her family, especially her father, didn’t want her to study further or even volunteer. But Nashra had already made up her mind.
She worked from home making bags and barely earned ₹70 a day. But even then, she never gave up. Joining JOSH’s Youth Leadership Program wasn’t easy for her, but she pushed through every challenge with quiet strength. She stood her ground when her father told her to stay at home and focused on building her future.
Now, Nashra is a confident and committed volunteer who takes part in every activity. She keeps moving forward, no matter what, and is a reminder that standing up for yourself can change your life.
