Leading with Kindness: Aafiya’s Story

Aafiya is 21 and had to drop out of school during the pandemic. When she tried going back, her age didn’t allow her. Instead of giving up, she joined JOSH’s skill program and later, the Atoot Shiksha initiative. That’s where her journey of learning truly began.

She quickly stood out—winning the Best Volunteer award multiple times. What made her special was her calm nature, attention to detail, and how she encouraged others through her actions, not loud words. Aafiya stayed focused and helped lead many activities in the community.

Now, as a leader in the Youth Leadership Program, she continues to inspire others. Her quiet strength and never-give-up attitude have made her a role model for everyone around her.
